Canadian Steel

Hy-Grade Roofing uses 26 gauge plastisol coated steel from Canadian steel mills.

The Hy-Grade Steel Roofing System is a multi-panel system that will enhance the look of your home, giving it charm, character and curb appeal.

The Hy-Grade steel shake was developed in Ontario in 1979 to accommodate the harsh Canadian weather. The shake has a patented nailing socket that is engineered to allow for the expansion and contraction of the metal without ‘working out’ the fastener. This engineered nailing socket makes nails the ideal fastener for the Hy-Grade System.

For strength and durability Hy-Grade uses only 26 gauge G90 plastisol coated steel. Plastisol is an extremely flexible elastic like coating that is tougher then a paint finish. It has been designed to withstand harsh natural elements as well as pollution while maintaining its pleasing aesthetics. The plastisol coating will stand up to the most extreme conditions. It will not chip, crack or peel and is available in 7 smart colours.
