It’s been more then 50 years since I got my first job and anyone who knows me knows that when I set my mind to something I do it all the way. The result of that is I have worked hard all of my life.

In 1992 I joined my long time friend Tom Ware in building our company Hy-Grade Steel Roofing. Our success is largely due to the fact that we are a lot a like and we are different. We both shared a passion for developing a product and creating a company that we could stand behind.

The biggest difference between Tom and myself is our ages. Me being 12 years older has brought me sooner to that stage in life where I am ready to retire. In 2006 I decided it was time to step down as a partner of the company. But, don’t think that I’m going to ride off into the sunset that easily. I’m still involved in the Sales Department and will continue to represent Hy-Grade in Grey & Bruce counties.

Although I have happily retired from the day to day operation I will still be around if Tom needs my help or just for old time sake.

Hy-Grade is on the bottom rung of a ladder that has no end, you can quote me on that.
